From Monday April 30, 2012
Hey Everybody.
I can’t believe that this is the last recap for this school year.
I won’t go into a sob story right now; I’m not in the mood.
But I will say that this year has been one of the most rewarding things I’ve done in my life. And it’s all because of you and your wonderful kids!
I can’t say enough about their sweet spirits, great hearts, intelligence, diligence, and giftings. They are so blessed to have the relationships with each other that they have and will continue to have throughout their high school years. There is great synergy among them.
I will miss them terribly next year.
There’s not much to recap from yesterday…
We took exams, had a party (with a lot of yummy food), rehearsed for Mock Trial, then had another super-fun party at the Hall’s where they swam, had the auction (fun!), had more yummy food, and watched Inception.
Thanks so much David and Monica, for hosting us once again.
Can’t Thank You Enough For Making This Year A Success
Wow, you guys continue to blow my mind with your thoughtfulness, generosity, and support!
I LOVE my gift to the spa and I am greatly looking forward to it. The tear-jerking cards, sweet comments, and cash were all so much more than I expected or deserved in my opinion.
I’ve said it all year and no one can make believe otherwise, that you all are the BEST families in CC.
(I still don’t know how I will rectify this with my families next year
)
Final Thoughts
Not much has changed since last week concerning announcements. I still don’t know what time our away competition is. I’ll have to bug that director again this week.
It is on May 8th though, at Belhaven in Orlando.
Our home competition is this Friday May 4, 2012 at 1:30 PM.
I plan on arriving around 12:30 – 12:45 to meet the Orlando team. Please have your students there at this time also.
The plan is to have the coin toss at 1:00 PM, receive announcements and instructions from our Administrator at 1:15 PM and then begin the trial promptly at 1:30 PM.
Afterwards we will have dinner together, so if you haven’t done so already please send Hallie Sanders your RSVP with the number of guests you plan to bring.
We will have a Skype conference tomorrow at 3:00 PM, then our dress rehearsal will be Thursday at 11:00 AM at the church. Please have your students come dressed in what they plan to where on Friday so that we can be sure it is in compliance with the dress code for court.
Last week I set the time from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM, but we ran over and we didn’t finish until 3:00 PM. I’m anticipating the same thing for this week, which means we will be there through lunch.
Jennifer McDowell was very generous in providing pizza for everyone, and I would love to do something similar this week; it was very convenient.
I’ll be glad to provide the lunch if I could get a parent to coordinate the ordering, picking up and delivering to the church. Please let me know if one of you are willing to do that for us.
If there are any questions about anything, please let me know.
I’ll be sure to email you any announcements that develop over this week.
May God richly bless each of you,
Karen PittmanChallenge B Director
